What is a long distance Relay and what does Running
Escapes do?
Long distance relay races are events that involve a team of 12 runners
taking on a course of 200 miles on average. Each runner will run 3 times
for about 6 miles at a time. The average runner will cover 18 miles.
Most races run through the night. The team will
begin early on a Friday or Saturday and finish the
following day.
We are in the process of re-doing our site. Our new site will provide
tools to help manage and organize your team. Additionally, it will help to
provide a way to find runners or runners to find teams. Sign up for our
